Field fees include room and board throughout the field season, transportation to and from the field or lab each work day and basic research expenses. Students must also provide for their own transportation to the ferry departure location near San Pedro, California and should expect additional expenses such as incidentals and activities on days off while on the island.

There are scholarships available for matriculated CSUN students.

Non-CSUN students should speak with their home institutions about support and financial aid.

Important dates:

March 1, 2015: Priority given to applications received before this date. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a space available basis.

April 1, 2015: $500 deposit due. Spaces no longer guaranteed if deposit not received by this date.

May 1, 2015: Last day to withdraw and receive a refund on your deposit.

June 1, 2015: Last day to pay fees in full to guarantee spot in fieldschool.

July 1, 2015: Last day to withdraw and receive a refund on your field fees, minus $500 non-refundable deposit.Please inquire about Financial Aid at your home institution.  

Budgeting
How much to budget depends on your travel, entertainment and souvenir choices. It is always best to overestimate your spending. We recommend that you budget accordingly to cover optional sightseeing, laundry, internet cafes, emergencies, etc.
